Last updated: April 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using IoT Parrot ("the app", "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
IoT Parrot is a cross-platform application for controlling IoT devices via MQTT. The service allows you to connect to MQTT brokers, create device dashboards, schedule automated actions, and share dashboards with other users.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
- Use the service to control devices in a manner that could cause harm to persons or property
- Abuse, harass, or threaten other users
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Use the service to transmit malware or malicious content
5. MQTT Brokers and Devices
- You are responsible for the MQTT brokers you connect to and the devices you control through the app.
- IoT Parrot does not host MQTT brokers. You provide your own broker or use a third-party broker service.
- We are not responsible for the behavior of your IoT devices, the availability of your brokers, or any consequences of MQTT messages sent through the app.
6. Dashboard Sharing
- When you share a dashboard, the recipient will be able to interact with your devices through your MQTT broker.
- You are responsible for only sharing dashboards with people you trust.
- Shared connections count toward your broker's connection limits.
- You can revoke shared access at any time.
7. Subscription Tiers
- IoT Parrot offers free and paid subscription tiers with different feature limits.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through the platform where you purchased them (Google Play, web).
- Refunds for web subscriptions are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Refunds for Google Play subscriptions are subject to Google's policies.
- We reserve the right to change pricing and features with reasonable notice.
- On downgrade or cancellation, your data is preserved but features beyond your tier's limits become inaccessible.
8. Intellectual Property
The IoT Parrot application, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Lurawood Labs. You retain ownership of any data you create within the app (broker configurations, device setups, dashboard layouts).
9. Disclaimers
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.
- We are not responsible for damage to IoT devices, property damage, or personal injury resulting from use of the app.
- Scheduled actions depend on cloud infrastructure availability and may not execute if services are down.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lurawood Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damage caused by IoT device malfunction, broker connectivity issues, or scheduled actions.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state where Lurawood Labs is incorporated.
