Account & billing

IoT Parrot is free to start, with three paid tiers that raise your limits and unlock scheduling, alerts, NFC, cross-device dashboards, and data streams. Here's how the tiers compare, how billing works, and how to manage your account.

Tiers & what's included

There are four tiers. Free covers a lot of ground for a first project; each paid tier lifts your resource limits and switches on more features.

  • Free — $0. Connect one broker, add a few devices, and build dashboards. No payment info required.
  • Hobby — $2.99/mo. Adds scheduling (with advanced cron), the map address readout, and dashboard sharing, plus higher broker/device/dashboard limits.
  • Maker — $5.99/mo. Adds alerts, the embedded map, NFC automations, and cross-device (multi-mode) dashboards.
  • Pro — $9.99/mo. Adds data streams — server-side history storage and the History chart widget for visualizing it over time.

Subscribing & managing

Subscribing and managing your plan is web-only, at app.iotparrot.com, and payments run through Stripe on every platform. You subscribe via Stripe Checkout and manage or cancel your plan through the Stripe billing portal.

Your card details never touch IoT Parrot — Stripe handles payment data directly.

lockMobile & billing

The mobile apps (iOS and Android) have no in-app purchase prompts. Paid features simply show as unavailable there; to subscribe or change your plan, use the web app.

Upgrades & downgrades

You can move between tiers whenever you like:

  • Upgrades apply immediately and are pro-rated for the rest of your billing period — your new, higher limits are available right away.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then.
shieldDowngrading never deletes your data

If a downgrade puts you over the new tier's limits, the extra resources aren't erased — they become read-only. The most-recently-edited items stay active up to the new cap; the rest are soft-locked until you upgrade again, at which point they come straight back.

Refunds & cancellation

  • 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription.
  • You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then drops to Free — with your data preserved and soft-locked as described above.

See the refunds policy for the full terms.

Account settings

From your account you can:

  • Choose your default dashboard (the one that opens first).
  • Contact support and open a support ticket.
  • Inquire about custom / enterprise plans if the standard tiers don't fit.
  • Log out of your session.
delete_foreverDeleting your account is irreversible

Delete account is available on every platform. It cascade-deletes your brokers, devices, dashboards, schedules, alerts, and shares, and cancels your subscription. This cannot be undone — there is no recovery of a deleted account or its data.

Sign-in methods

You can create and access your account with any of:

  • Email + password.
  • Continue with Google.
  • Continue with Apple.

Forgot your password? Reset it from the web app — the password-reset flow is on the sign-in screen at app.iotparrot.com.
